“Very clean and well maintained campsite with very friendly staff. I love that it was close to the water with an excellent tree shower. P.S thanks John for joining our mini soccer game. It was a lot of fun.”

“Delightful stay in a very comfortable room with a view. Hostess tipped us about the local beach and the hikes to the shore for photoshoots of marine life. Also good breakfast to kick-start your sight-seeing day on the Gulf Islands.”

“A wonderful staycation if you need a break from the city. This is the place you want for natural Singing birds and crashing waves alarm clock. We were looking for an extremely quiet place to get grounded and do nothing, so this was perfect for our needs. Bike rental is free from the resort and is a great way to see the island. Old but well maintained building. We booked a cabin. It was very clean and was available to us early which was a nice treat as there is only two ferry times to get to Mayne Island from Tsawwassen. The "Welcome Basket" is your usual hotel amenties (soap, shampoo/conditioner, coffee, tea, sugar, salt/pepper). We had to take advantage of the BBQ space available to us. If you come in the off season Mayne, shops and 2 out of the 4 places to eat are closed Mon-Thurs (One being The Groove which is the BEST place to eat there!). The bakery is the only breakfast place and serves until 1030am before it switches to lunch and then closes at 3pm, but open daily. The Bennet Bistro (restaurant in the resort) is open daily for lunch and dinner. The staff was nice. Business here is done very casually. Island time. When I was in the lobby, I would often hear phone calls not being answered. The receptionist would leave for lunch and not return at the designated time, so don't pay attention to the "Will Return at ____" sign. It's an isolated place that seems to only be bustling during the music festival in the summer, so just be mindful of that expectation. But I highly recommend if you need a place to connect with nature. It was very cleansing and a nice change of scenery.”
