Thank you CRD water team for working late into the night repairing the water main leak in front of my residence Friday 02/21/2020. This leak was discovered by my sister when she was leaving my place. She got to the end of my driveway saw a river of water coming across the road. We found that there was a 4 inch high fountain of water coming out of the ground at the edge of the road. This was obviously a water main leak due to the pressure and volume of the water that was quickly crossing the road and making its way onto our property. A call to the CRD water emergency line and a member from the CRD water team was at the scene in minutes. This could have been a major disaster if not notice or reported. I noticed while at the road some motorist slowing to see what was going on and others just roaring through the water without any concern. Too anyone who may have reported this leak , Thank you. I believe that we all should be aware that water comes to our homes via pipes in the ground and if one encounters water present where it may not normally be, pay attention. The power of water and it potentially destructive nature should not to be under estimated. Have a great weekend all.
