Fun way to spend a couple hours. Live music. Good food. Perfect set up. Talented Artisans.
Super friendly vendors and wide variety of local goods! Who knew you could buy alcohol at a farmers market?! Pretty sweet.
This Saturday summer market has a variety of vendors from those bringing fresh produce from their gardens to unique displays of all sorts of crafts and clothes from a variety of artisans. Homemade foods and drinks plus musicians entertaining visitors make this a quaint market to visit in James Bay. Open 9 to 3, some of the best produce and baked goods tend to go early but there is always more available.
This market has been going on for 25 years. The market was a bit slow this year due to the pandemic. And to make matters worse, it was a smokey day. Heavy smokes from fires drifted from the Washington state. Not a lot of vendors and not a lot of shoppers and lookers. Not easy for people hoping to sell their products.
There were vendors selling organic produce. Lots of garlic in one stall. There was a stall for handmade soap. We bought some soap bars. They smelled good.
Several stalls for jewellery made by local artists.
A couple of vendors selling home made snacks, some gluten-free and organic. We thought the gluten-free snacks were pretty good.
The market definitely lacked shoppers. We can hope the attendance will be better next year.
The market is ok, not many vendors, it's small and it lacked a variety of insteresting stuff. The atmosphere is good and people are really nice. If you are passing by go take a look, but don't plan to spend hours of your day there.
