“Yesterday I went to OFBS for the 1st time. I was impressed by the volume of incredible options. But I was more impressed by the young man who helped me pick out what I was looking for. He was friendly, knowledgable, helpful and loved talking about sports. He was at the Hillside location and was wearing a Rangers jersey. I can't wait to go back down to any of these locations the next time I'm in need of sports clothing. Also the prices of hats were $5-$15 cheaper than Lids and other sports stores.”

“So happy that there is Walmart in East North Victoria. It's small like Langford branch, but almost 90% payment is self service cash and only two cashiers are available. I believe in balance everything should be 50/50 or 60/40 and have just two cashiers is not enough and to pay there is a line more than any Walmart in Victoria. Very disappointed.”

“I do not write many reviews but felt a need to contribute this one as it is well earned. Every year I bring my three kids and wife into this Sport Chek location for ski equipment. They are growing fast so about 60% usually needs replacement and Victoria is not a great place to buy ski gear. When we are lucky, something can be handed down. I am relatively clueless when it comes to sizing ski gear, particularly boots, so we make a point of coming when one of the managers, Mark, is on shift. He knows his stuff. He's usually understaffed and still patiently takes the time to work with us to get the right sizes and types of everything. Last year he helped us understand one set of boots from my older boy (that we had bought from him 2 years ago) were now ok for my second boy (I had thought they were too tight) and so he saved us from buying what we didn't need. That's good for us but also good for the store as we came back again this year and three out of three kids needed new boots (and two needed skis) so he waited until the right time to make the sale. It's been great to have a very personable, knowledgeable person to help with the ski gear who is helpful without any hard sell. We will be back again next year but only when Mark is on shift - my youngest is 9, so I hope he has a few more years at this location yet!”
