Friendly staff and great customer service. Stayed in one of the private cabins and it did not disappoint. Very private and fully stocked. Great coffee.
After several days of wild camping this place was a real treat. They have large cabins, yurts, walk-in tent camping, power only RV sites, full service RV sites, laundry, hot showers, bathrooms, a dog park and a HOT TUB. They also sell goods at the canteen which is open till 8pm and the hot tub is open till 10pm. Bathrooms and laundry is 24/7. Easy access to hikes and trails. Power RV sites are close together and there is some noise from the hwy, but it’s pretty luxurious if you’ve been on the road a while!
We enjoyed our stay in the campground here. We tented it in the walk in tent area. I gave it a 4 star just because it could use a few fixes. From what I could tell it's still a work in progress for the tenting area as well as Reno's happening around the park. Watch your footing for little twigs and roots sticking up in the tenting area especially if you're in sandals, we tripped on some and even took a jab to the foot by one root sticking up, it needs a good clearing (looks to be recently cleared and a work in progress). The outhouses were also disgusting so I have to be open about that one, I'm hoping they can keep up with those in the future for visitors. We chose not to use them and walked to extra distance to the bathrooms. The trains run right by the resort but to me it was comforting to hear, others might not like it depending on your preference. The hot tub option was a nice choice also after a long day. Turning off the highway from the opposite lane can also be a little bit of a challenge in heavier traffic hours and I really hope they fight to get a better turn option there such as a turn lane or an outside run around lane as some people aren't aware of the turn coming up and someone blasted their horn at us thinking we were just sitting there with our signal on and went roaring around us very fast. Would stay again but hope the tenting site gets these fixes done.
Stayed at the Ridge View log cabin. What a wonderful experience!!! The neighbours were friendly, the owner stopped by and we had nice chats. Really great atmosphere. Awesome BBQ. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, incredibly clean, stocked kitchen supplies and a beautifully laid out space. The bathroom was spacious and had ample towels which was awesome and the robes added a luxurious element. The bed was super comfy. Highly recommend.
Overall a great place to stay, with a few minor issues. Comfortable bed and a cozy cabin all around. Obviously you can hear the traffic while inside the cabin, but it didn’t keep us up at night. I would rather to have some quiet when sitting outside and being so close to the highway, it’s impossible not to always hear the traffic. It worked great because most of the time was spent outside the cabin and exploring Revelstoke. Hot tub was a great addition and customer service was top notch. The bathroom door needs to be readjusted and was always an issue when closing it. Local coffee provided was also delicious! Thanks for assisting in a great vacation :)
