Martin is a very nice guide, gave some great tips for us as inexperienced mountain bikers. Awesome diversity in the Puntledge River/Nymph Falls tracks. Beautiful experience mid October!!!
Martin was great! was lucky enough to get a solo tour, so Martin showed me exactly what I wanted to see in Cumberland and gave truly helpful riding tips and interesting facts about the trail and area. It was an awesome experience and definitely worth it.
Martin is an amazing guide and we can highly recommend to ride with him! He has all the local knowledge that you need to make the most of your time and to find the trails that are fun for all levels. Martin knows all the trails inside out, explained all the tricky parts and found great combination between uphill and downhill trails. He was also great with our kids (who didn't want to stop riding after a long day). And if you can - take the tour with Martin to Hornby Island. Thank you, Martin, we had such a great time! We wish to come back one day.
We had a wonderful 2 days of riding with Martin (Owner) and George (Guide) on day two. The first day was on Hornby Island which was a wonderful first day to soak in the scenery of the region. Martin is very knowledgeable of the area and has spend a several years building the trails on Hornby Island, as well as in Cumberland.
The second day was in Cumberland with it's vast network of trails which was the highlight of our trip. It is an incredible mountain biking area with all levels of groomed and maintained trails to enjoy. Martin during this day was the "technical race route director" for the BC Mountain Race Series, so he had his equally experienced friend George guide us around and showcase this "spectacular" area. We had a rest stop along the way to cheer on the mountain bike racers, which was super fun to watch.
Martin's full suspension rental bikes are awesome and are in fabulous top condition. We will be back again to ride with Martin's guiding company. Thank you, that was a first class experience.
Had a great ride with Martin! I had a free afternoon and wanted to do a half day tour while camping near Cumberland, and called Island Mountain Rides. Luckily, there was a Cumberland Explorer tour already organized for the afternoon I wanted to ride. Martin handled getting a rental bike to the trailhead - all I had to do was show up with my kit and ride!
Such a fantastic trail network - it's truly a wonderland of dirt! I couldn't hope to navigate it effectively myself. Martin knows these trails well, and crafted a beautiful and super fun ride that would fit the skills of the whole group.
Probably one of the best half days of riding I've ever had - thanks again, Martin! I'll be back!
