We had our wedding at Keating Farm in May 2022. It was a magical and perfect day. All of our guests were so impressed by the venue - the beautifully restored Great Hall in the main farmhouse building, the orchards in front of the farmhouse where we held the ceremony, as well as the gorgeous hay barn that we had our reception in. Owners Rebecca and George clearly have poured their heart into restoring and preserving this historic farm. As it is a working farm, we were able to source many of our ingredients for the dinner and cocktail hour from the farm itself. They have partnerships with many local vendors so you can truly have a "farm to table" dinner which garnered rave reviews from our guests. We were able to stay on the farm for a few nights in one of the outbuildings, and that was also a wonderful experience. Rebecca was extremely accommodating and good to work with through the entire wedding process. Keating Farm is a venue where you can really cater the wedding to your own style, as there are many different options for the ceremony and reception. We also had all of our wedding photos on site and there was no lack of beautiful settings for the photos.
A nice local family and farm. The lamb, chicken, pork, & honey is very good.
The owners are lovely and generous people working on doing the right things for the community.
It is always such a pleasure to stop by Keating Farm and restock on some of the highest quality and best tasting farm to table products I've ever had the pleasure of trying. I could go on about all of their offerings but I will stick to my three favorite.
First, their apple juice is quite honestly the best I've ever tasted. The apples come from heritage trees that have been growing on the property for decades. The flavour and tartness is absolutely perfect and so refreshing!
Second, their Honey is just flat out amazing. I heard some time ago that eating local honey can help with seasonal allergies and as a serious allergy sufferer I figured there was no closer Honey than the farm down the street. What I soon found out on my quest for local Honey was that not only did I find the closest but also the most delicious. When I eat Keating Farm's Honey I can literally taste the flowers that it came from.
Finally, their chickens are amazing and flavourful. The meat stays juicy and doesn't dry out when cooked and the flavour is unmatched. It comes with the seat of approval of my mother in law who grew up butchering her own chickens and rendering their fat in rural southern Taiwan. She prides herself on how many different dishes she can cook with one chicken, showcasing it's flavour in many different ways. She loves Keating Farm's chickens and the incredibly high quality meat they produce.
I highly recommend giving Rebecca and Georges a visit at Keating Farm and seeing for yourself what incredible and delicious products they offer.
An amazing old fashioned Mom and Pop farm. Their products are absolutely first class. Chicken, honey, pork, lamb, sausages are amongst their products. Things are cut and wrapped as per the customer wishes. A stunning location with pastures, animals, trees and lots of clean air. One of the very best.
