Nice course .. challenging. Greens mostly good shape. Good pro shop, good price.
The course is very nice. It was however very wet and carts were on the path only. I understand the need for that but wish I had known that when we booked. Makes for a lot of walking and a slower round. I may have rebooked for another time or not used the cart. Don't really feel like it actually saved me steps and the cart had very little value.
A nice driving range. Covered for the rainy days. Lots of fun...not too busy...we'll be back for sure.
I've played this course quite a few times over the years. It is one of my favourites on Vancouver Island. It looks like it is wide open and easy from the road, but don't be deceived; it's a very demanding track. But they also have different sets of tees, including a very advanced set that my wife enjoys. Like any course on the island, it can get a bit dry at times, but overall the conditions are great.
One thing to be aware of is that if you're not in pretty good shape, it's a bit of a demanding walk. It's easy to not recognize the elevation changes, but your legs are talking to you walking up quite a few of the holes, even when they look like they're flat. They're not.
The people who run the course are great! They're always friendly, welcoming, and remember you. I've never eaten there, but its a great place to sit and have at drink overlooking the course.
All in all, this is a great golfing experience!
