Eves Provincial Park

Beautiful place to go for a walk in nature

Very peaceful

Never heard of this place but thanks to a quick Google search come to find out we were only 5 minutes away ! This was a great little walk with plenty of quick elevation changes and plenty to look at ! We brought our dogs and loved it too ! highly recommended ! Oh and we had the park to ourselves !

Eves Provincial Park is a hidden little gem off Westholme Road in the Cowichan Valley. It is a serene little park that offers a little bit of everything that this region has to offer in the forest.

I like coming here as it is always quiet and very few visitors. The trails don’t take long to walk around and provide a nice quick get away.

The park is an ecological site that was donated to BC Parks. It has Giant Old Growth Cedars and Douglas firs as well as Giant Leaf Maples and Arbutus trees. There is also a historical sign and interpretive spot talking about the old railroad that ran there for Mt Sicker and taking ore from the Lenora mine to Crofton.

The park has a picnic shelter and learning center but not sure if there are public events here or just used by the schools in the area. The trails do have informative signage and well marked trails to do your own educational loop.

Don’t forget to explore the large mossy bluffs and the old cave too, this is a treat for kids.
