I started working with Erin in her Vancouver studio about 5 years ago. When the pandemic hit we moved our weekly lessons online. Erin has seen me through injury and illness (vertigo) and adapts my lessons so that I continue to strengthen my body despite my challenges. Erin is extraordinarily knowledgeable and kind. She considers all my “why” questions and answers them thoroughly such that I better understand my own Pilates practice. Depending on my concerns for the week, Erin adjusts the lesson. I always feel heard and cared for. She offers me areas to concentrate on between our sessions and I feel encouraged to try out what she suggests. Before the pandemic, I saw Erin in the studio and worked on the reformer. My home practice was spotty, at best. Since starting weekly lessons on Zoom in my own home with my equipment, my home practice has become more disciplined and I have advanced. It has made such a difference to have Erin in my home (via Zoom). I highly recommend Erin to anyone wanting to strengthen their body with the help of a gentle, encouraging and knowledgeable teacher.

Life changing. My physiotherapist referred me to an in-house clinical Pilates instructor so that I could build up core strength for a long-lasting solution to my back pain. However the sessions were so infrequent that I didn’t see much progress. I looked into Studio 19 and decided to give it a try so I could have private classes twice a week (rather than once a month).
After the first month I started feeling significant changes in my body - not limited to increased strength, more balanced distribution of weight, and reduced tension in my shoulders and upper back.
It has now been six months and I feel that my body has completely transformed. My range of motion and strength have increased so much, I have a hard time imagining how I coped before I started.
Erin, the studio owner, and Ali are such incredible instructors. They help you understand and reconnect with your body one step at a time so that it’s not overwhelming. They both have a healing energy so I leave the studio feeling uplifted mentally and physically after every session.
If I haven’t made it clear enough already, I highly recommend!! Best investment I’ve made in my health.
