(October 29, 2020, 6:15 am)One of my favourite places I’ve found in BC to date. I went in mid-October, when the alpine larches in their hues of yellow were topped with the first snow of the year. Truly spectacular vistas everywhere with plenty of great campsites. The access road in is a wide active logging road that was in good shape with minimal potholes and relatively flat grades throughout. The lakes were glassy and a variety of colours depending on where on the lake you were and where the sun was. I was alone at my campground for the night, and woke up under over 6 inches of fresh powder - I’d recommend having snow tires on the car if coming up this way in late autumn!
