“Words cannot express how amazing this place is. Immediately upon arrival it was calming and relaxing; even before meeting the owners. It was more of a calming visit with friends than just a simple getaway. The entire visit was just pure joy and contentment filled with smiles, gorgeous views and the best sleep I've had in ages. We will certainly visit again and make this a regular place to recharge and energize!”

“Such a nice place no service camp ground but have good generator hours. You need it due to it always seeming to get hot at 4 and its nice to run ac. Real nice boat launch but no docks so u need to pull your boat at night or find open beach to park. Wind always seems to blow at 3 for a couple hours. Awesome sandy beaches and great swimming. Gets deep fast but not so fast kids can use it. A little store on site for ice and ice cream. Some essentials but not much”

“Campground is in a great spot. The river view sites have a great view and are close to some hiking trails. There bathrooms/ showers were always kept very clean and the showers are free. The kids loved the pool. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's getting on the expensive side for a campsite.”

“Our experience with Sunshine was great ! Gord who did the orientation with us was an awesome guy! We took the sunbreezer house boat for 4 nights and was newly renovated so that was a plus and on our first night we were all new to house boating so didn’t know much about it and didn’t have any lights out first night so in the morning we had someone come out and all he did was flip a switch in the engine bay. It was late too so couldn’t call anyone. Everything was perfect after that until we got hit with a wind storm the second night and we ended up loosing a stake luckily someone saw us and brought us a new one (you’ll get charged for $50 and won’t know till the end of your vacation. Talked to someone on the phone about it and said I didn’t think that was our fault so she was nice enough to drop it to $25) with the wind storm we were getting rain too and the bunk room has a water leak from the light on the roof in there which is also a safety hazard for passengers plus all your clothes and stuff gets wet on the top bunk. Following into the 3rd day with all the rain going on we couldn’t get our generator going luckily Gord came out and got us a new one. We did have a small accident that no one knew about that scuffed the paint off the wall in the back of the boat which did cost a $100 for them to paint over. (I’m assuming this because any other damage in the boat was just painted over previously) Our last night it got pretty cold on the lake and someone closed the window in a room and and the window shattered and will cost ya $250 and that’s totally fine but we should’ve known to do our own inspection first because anything could’ve been wrong in there maybe there was a small crack in it already. Other than that the experience with Sunshine was great everyone had a good time and we’re very thankful for this.”

“Wish I found out about Ridgeview Resort sooner!!! What a beautiful place to spend a relaxing vacation! We booked vacation home #60 for 4 nights in late September. The staff was amazing and the facilities were fantastic! This resort has it all and the activities never stop. The Rec Centre has a banquet room, games room, library, movie room, clean pool and a hot tub that is nice and toasty hot! We will be coming back next summer!! The house was amazing and was huge!! It really felt like a home and had everything you would need to bake cookies or a cake and even had a Turkey roaster! This is an ideal place to spend the holidays with family! We had an amazing experience and can’t wait to go back! Definitely check out their website!”

“This campground has a lot of trees surrounding the sites which helps with privacy. the campground does not have showers and the bathrooms are flush-able BUT the bathrooms do NOT have lights inside so it gets very dark at night, Must bring a flash light. There is a lot of wood for fires. The highway is close so you can here the vehicles but it isn't to loud (we found). I would go back to this campground but would like it more if the bathrooms had power inside. My star ranking system: 1: Bad / Don't go there 2: Could be better 3: Average 4: Above average but not the best 5: A true top notch place”

“So grateful to have snagged one of the 3 night by night spots at Shadybrook for 2 nights. We wish we could have stayed much longer!!! We were pleasantly surprised to get such a big lot with beautiful mature trees and plenty of room for both our 40’ fifth wheel and our 22’ truck. We loved being so close to the lake (1 minute walk if that) & having the marina to have friends pick us up via boat for the day. The dog parks & recycling were also appreciated. I enjoyed seeing dozens of deer meandering through the campground… they were not phased by me or my dogs on our morning walks which was neat. Would HIGHLY recommend Shadybrook and would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you!”

“Have visited a bunch of times. The sites are large, rustic and private. Absolutely beautiful. The valley is amazing (you will frequently see wildlife there, from Quail to Deer to..... ) ; the host is very friendly and helpful. It's a great location and close to other places you may want to visit, from Fernie to Lake Kookanusa (many many beaches to visit). Check out Sunshine Houseboats and Marina while in the area.”

“We are van campers, needed a place to crash, this was it! Rick was super helpful and got us a spot. Outdoor bathrooms and sink were clean and did the job. Fully supplied. Showers and laundry on site. Mostly seasonal campers but we were welcomed.”

“Family oriented campground with access to lake and beach. Lots of mature trees for shade but few shrubs, so privacy is somewhat lacking. Well maintained roadways and pads in variety of sizes, suitable for small vehicles and tents as well as larger trailers. Despite the bustle of activity during the day (including kids racing around on bikes and parents pushing baby strollers) it quiets down nicely at night for a peaceful sleep. A certain amount of sites are reservable with a some first come first serve available. Wheelchair accessible pit toilets, but no sink. Running water available from pipes near garbage and recycling bins. Overall a good place if you're looking for more of a family/friend outdoor experience, but don't expect anything close to remote wilderness. Dogs are fine at campground (on leash) but are not allowed on beach.”

“Private / permanent camping. It's awesome. Levi and wendy, the hosts are great. Sand is spectacular I think there are some nightly and monthly spots available. After 6 years I still love it. Boat launch is dependent upon water level.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were here for 10 days. Owners are available and friendly. RV Park and sites were completely clean and maintained. Free showers were spotless as was the bathroom. We liked the location in Windermere. Very short drive to the lake. The overnight spots have water and electric. Gas station, restaurant and small store are right beside the RV park.we booked again for next summer!”

“I have extreme fond memories of this campground as I have taken my kids there during the summer throughout their entire childhood. For many years the same family has operated this resort and every year they continue upgrading all areas of the campground. Again this year, we have enjoyed our stay for a week in the summer. All aspects of the campground is kept very meticulous. From the campsites to the washrooms and all areas in between, they outdo themselves in making it the best possible experience that customers can have. Looking forward to our return visit in 2024.”

“This campground is the best. My dad use to take us camping here decades ago and this place hasn’t changed one bit, minus the renovated bathrooms with showers thankfully. Highly recommend checking this spot out!”

“Beautiful lake, bathrooms are kept super clean. In the morning they smell like bleach, that's how clean they're kept. Nice sandy beach, clean, warm water. We love it there.”

“Gorgeous views of the mountains. Very close to the Fairmont Hot Springs. Chilly and refreshing pool for hot days. Clean bathrooms and showers. My only concern was that the main garbage bin site was right in the centre of about 6 camping sights. This was not a bear proof garbage bin, and with the camp staff letting me know there was a bear along the river recently I did not feel safe sleeping so close to the garbage in a tent.”

“We were on the edge of E loop opposite the kids playground. There's not a lot of privacy between the pitches. Showers and toilets for each loop. Tired - the floor paint has worn away - but fine, kept clean by the staff. Stunning scenery, plenty of hikes. Within walking distance of Radium. We were only there 2 nights and preferred walking in the park. @grandrovervoyager”

“First camping trip since pandemic and I’m so happy we came here! We had an RV and booked 2 nights and then stayed an extra night in the first come first serve zone. Flush toilets! Fire wood provided! Beautiful trails and view of the river! Exceeded my expectations!”

“Clean, well kept spots with grass and gravel, picnic tables in good shape, shower house relatively new with free showers and plenty of hot water. It’s mostly a stop over kind of place, no privacy and very small trees. It’s good for a night or two. There seem to be many workers who live there. It’s great for what it is. Nightly prices are a bit steep.”

“Great hotel and golf course at the foot of the Rockies. In terms of value for money this place is as good as we've found anywhere. Hotel rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, pool (albeit small) is in the sun from early morning and Golf course (19th hole) food and drinks are reasonably priced (for 2023!). The deal at the golf course for families (especially under the stay and play program might be the best deal in BC. Juniors play for free with a paying adult after 3pm. Golf course is a nice mix of needing well placed tee shots on short par 4s and wide open fairways for the longer holes where you can hit big. 4 sets of tees and mixed tee scorecards allow for numerous golf levels to play.”

“It’s like a family here at the campground. The managers (Bill and Cheryl) are the nicest people and have gone above and beyond on numerous occasions to help people out. They even paid for and gave out ice cream treats from Dairy Queen to the whole campground on a few super hot days (super awesome)! They have held BBQs here for everyone which is also a super nice thing to do. The campground is well maintained and the washrooms / laundry facility are always clean. I’ve been here over a year and haven’t had any issues with the power and the internet is really good also. The garbage bins are emptied regularly and the lawn is always cut and cared for. Lots of pride and hard work put into this campground and it shows!”
