I wanted to send a note of acknowledgement and appreciation for the product and service we received associated with the installation of our new floor at our home in Alpine Trails, Fernie.

Overall, our experience with the Nufloors team was excellent. We would like to specifically acknowledge the sales and on-site support from David Koch. Dave worked hard to provide us with product choices and also advised on ways we could reduce our total cost without compromising quality. He is a credit to the Nufloors team and brings value to your company and to his customers.

With any flooring project, however, the most critical aspect is the installation. In our case, we need to convey our heartfelt gratitude for the work of your contractors, Christopher Gendall and his apprentice, Jon Holladay. Chris was on his own for the first 2-3 days and then was joined by Jon. The total time on our job was 5-6 long days. Chris is an outstanding tradesman and clearly an expert in engineered hardwood floor installation. Our floor looks outstanding. He was diligent, respectful of our home and our furniture (which had to be moved around during the project to accommodate the work), resourceful and solutions-driven when the work required it. He was an excellent communicator and kept us informed of any short-term schedule conflicts with other Nufloors projects. He did an excellent job of cleaning up every evening prior to departure. He had a positive demeanour throughout the job and pride of workmanship was evident in everything he did. In short I would not hesitate to recommend Chris for any task he felt was within his scope. I wish all of our experiences with tradespeople were as positive as this relationship. He is a major asset to the Nufloors team.

The project advanced a little slowly at first due to Chris working solo for the first two and a half days. When Jon Holladay arrived, the project really started to accelerate. Two people deliver more than two times the performance due to efficiency improvements. These two men work very well together. They both demonstrate relentless dedication to high quality and both have, frankly, excellent attitudes. In general Jon worked on the straightforward aspects while Chris tackled any challenges (corners, T-mouldings, fireplace and stone transitions etc). Both fellows worked very hard on daily and especially the final cleanups. Just a great experience with these people throughout.

I don’t write reviews often but the service quality and the overall experience with Chris and Jon as well as the Nufloors team merited special recognition.
