Hotel staff were quick, friendly, and helpful. Rooms are unique, but could use some updating. Restaurant was a disaster. Getting to the pool is beyond odd. Elevator broke down on my wife and I. Pool is quite fun though. With the right changes this resort could easily be a 4 star hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at the Fernie Stanford resort! Our room was clean & comfortable with a beautiful view of the river & mountains. 'Chris/Kris' at the Front Desk was excellent & provided Superb service! (Thank you Chris :) The Free breakfast, Pool with slide, etc. were good. We would stay here again & also recommend it to our family & friends.
It was better than expected. Staff polite. Pool/slide great. Restaurant good. Rooms clean. Good value for a family. Reasonable choice. River view balcony pretty. Kids loved the 'upper floor' room option to escape parents.
Our family had a really nice stay. The price was good and so was the pizza and Korean chicken sandwich we had for dinner. The quality of the free breakfast was super solid also.
Would definitely stay there again. The water slide was a good speed for our 4 year old and the hot tub had a great view.
It didn’t bother us but if you’re a light sleeper you’d want to request a room on the non-highway/river side
Felt more like a hotel than a resort in amenities. Room in the 200s was nice, the main floor, on the side facing the road with a sliding glass door that opened onto a patio, a few steps from the warm, not hot, hot tub. Does have a pool with a water slide and an exercise room that we did not use. Road noise with the door closed was not noticeable. The other side of the hotel is close to the river and the view from the dining room. The complimentary Continental Breakfast offered ready to eat hard boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, oranges, breads, muffins, etc. There was a waffle maker, which isn't unusual, but there was also a pancake maker that was a new feature to us and a source of entertainment. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the food could be smelled in the hallway, luckily a good, fragrant aroma. The toiletries in the bathroom are on a high shelf above the sink, and, inexplicably, were overlooked by one of our party. We found the location convenient and the price affordable. Many times we walked past the front desk and it was unattended, which didn't inconvenience us, but highlighted the laid-back management of this resort.
