Definitely a hidden gem! Room itself was clean, nothing fancy but I loved the retro look! Balcony is beautiful overlooking the forest. 10/10 will come back!
Vintage but clean, owner Dave is amazing with kids, his wife Nancy took some great photos of my cousins daughter. Overall a great place to stay, I have already booked a room for next year!
We had a great stay this summer! We reserved the two bedroom kitchenette suite with the extra two twin beds in the living room area and it was awesome! As with most people vacationing we are there to sleep in our rooms pretty much but having the full kitchen and access to a BBQ made this vacation even better! We had a steak night and a burger night even a bacon breakfast Whoo hoo! We will be back again! The owners were very accommodating and so pleasant to have conversations with thanks so much!
This cute and vintage hotel was exactly the kind we look for on trips. We spend most of our time outside the room... so we mostly use the room for sleeping and getting ready for the day. We appreciate cheaper rates without sacrificing cleanliness or comfort. This hotel was perfect for our needs and not only met our expectations, but they greatly exceeded them.
-SUPER comfortable queen bed. Husband prefers firm, I like soft with support. We both slept great!
-LOVE the private balcony in the back with the forest view.
-Rooms were CLEAN: there was newer faux wood floors, has been somewhat-recently painted. Bedding was clean and smelled fresh. Mattress was new. I am a freak about smells and I was very pleased that while it had some original vintage features (like a cool vintage brass lamp hanging from the ceiling) the room did not smell old.
-Friendly staff: new owners are awesome and were quick to accomate any request. They referred us to some amazing restaurants and hot springs.
- I was able to park right outside the door to our room during our entire stay. Super convenient!
-Cute apple and pear trees out front, as well as lots of potted flowers.
-AC was GREAT! We have stayed at a few hotels on this trip that do not have AC and this was a welcomed improvement.
- Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room.
- Located right outside the entrance to the hot springs area and on the way to Lake Louise. Super convenient location.
We will definitely be back next Summer!
Quite a pleasant surprise when trying to save money on hotels and selecting some at a lower rate. I would say that this one is easily on par with any 3-4 star hotels in other areas, and they could easily increase their nighly rate a bit if they wanted.
The room was clean, with really nice beds. Parking a large truck is a bit of a hassle here but manageable.
I would highly recommend staying here while on a budget. It's also just a few minutes' walk to some excellent restaurants.
