They called and checked if their freeze dried taffy had dairy for us since we were allergic to dairy. Ended up buying a bag. It was 16CAD and weighed maybe 50grams. Very over priced. Other than that interesting and great place. Its important to know the ingredients posted on what you are selling and over charging for a product by 1000 percent. Otherwise, 5 stars from me.
I scream. You scream. We all scream for Screamers Ice Cream!
The ice cream is excellent here and they DON'T SKIMP! The variety of flavours offered as well as the pricing is most welcome.
It is located on the mains strip in Radium on the way to Invermere so you can't miss it. It is easily accessible from both directions and there is enough free parking around to make it easy to drop by.
It is a bit unusual that the staff allow you to order and you receive your order prior to paying. I would think that would be risky? I guess people here are honest.
We will be back!
I had a pistachio and chocolate ice cream during a rainy day. Both flavors were fantastic. This place had a long line. Price was not so bad. Cad$ 7 for 2 scoops and Cad$5 for 1 scoop. Decoration is nice and inviting.
Absolutely wonderful service, awesome retro vibe, delicious food. My compliments to the Chef, who served me and was a delight to speak with.
I had the complimentary breakfast because I stayed at the motel down the road, but I left with some amazing buttertarts.
Screamers is located right after entering Radium Hot Springs by the roundabout.
There are 3 or 4 stalls right in front of the store along with a bunch more close by.
As soon as you enter you'll be greeted with a vintage look right down to a neon jukebox but everything is spotless and clean.
They had about 26 different ice cream flavor to include 1 that was sugar free. Prices are reasonable at 6 bucks for a single scoop in a regular cone and another 1.25 for a waffle cone.
I had espresso flake and black raspberry cheesecake. The espresso flake was amazingly good with nice deep coffee flavor. The black raspberry cheesecake was really good as well but our scoop didn't have much of the black raspberry flavor so that wasn't ideal...still very tasty for the bits that did have it.
Service was great. Staff didn't keep housing us as we mulled over the large selection of flavors and was quick to help once we motioned that we were ready.
They have a vintage themed seating area as well as some covered outdoor seats.
I've had Stolen Church, Cows and Screamers. The espresso flake I got is the BEST I've had from any of them. Not saying the others aren't good I guess you'll just have try them all lol.
