I went for a haircut after a long time and I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair, which was a mess. I am SO glad I came here!

I got a head massage with my hair wash which was so relaxing. The whole atmosphere is lovely - quiet, with soft classical music. Julia and Robert are both so sweet and nice to talk to.

She explained everything she was doing and why based on my face shape, hair type, etc. As someone who doesn't know anything about hair, it was so nice to understand! I was worried about going too short, as usual. But she knew what would look good on me, and gave me THE perfect haircut!

The price was super reasonable. I was even going to do colour correction next time and Julia suggested highlights instead, which are more affordable and will still lighten my hair like I wanted. So I'm going back for that in a month or so :)

Julia cut my hair for 7 years and I am always happy with her works. I moved to Vancouver, Coquitlam but I drove back to Abby over 1 hour just to get the hair cut from her. She is really talented, sweet and kind. The shop is organized, clean and very chill. Highly recommend this place 10/10.

I went to Julia's Hair Salon a couple weeks ago for a layered hair cut. I was going for a "octopus" or "hush" cut which typically has short layers on top, longer layers on the bottom, soft waves and curtain bangs.

She was very attentive to check in during each step of the hair cut. Since the ends of my hair were really damaged from past coloring and previous perms, we decided to cut off the damaged hair. This left my natural hair, which is very straight. She went over how to style my hair to get the same look as the reference photo I brought in. But because my hair typically goes flat again even after using an iron, I asked about her perming services.

I typically don't do much with my hair, so she suggested a texture perm as it would be more gentle than the types of perms I had at other salons and we would get closer to the look I wanted. After my hair cut, we booked the texture perm, which I had for today!

The perm took around 2 hours or so and we also went over styling and hair care after my texture perm. Instead of the typical rollers used at other salons which create tight coils, she cone shaped rollers to create a softer and more natural wave.

I highly suggest Julia's Hair Salon, especially if you're looking to get a perm. She's very experienced in doing perms and creating the style you're looking for.

Getting an appointment at her salon was very simple quick as well.

A great experience, we needed a place close by for Mom (very elderly) to get a haircut, they were gentle kind and caring. They did a wonderful job and we were all pleased...

I went back weeks later and had a cut too.
He change my style up just a bit, more on top and gently easing it shorter down the sides.
He really took his time to make sure it was perfect.

It was my first time having my hair styled by Julia today and she did a fantastic job! She really knows hair and she figured mine out in minutes. She totally understood what I wanted and explained how it would look on me and carefully explained how to style my hair on my own. She is a complete professional and charges a very reasonable price. On top of all that, the premises is super clean and nicely air-conditioned! Highly recommend Julia's Hair Salon!
