After going camping and now more relaxed I can tell you that renting from Fraserway RV’s it was a good experience, we had a little hiccup but I contacted them and they sent me the instructions on how to fix it, and the guys in Delta were very courteous and friendly.
Now, after the bad review I gave them( you can read it below) I’m editing and giving them 5 stars, I totally recommend them.
Second review
Since I posted my original review(below) they offered me a rental out of their Delta branch, the lady we talked to was very polite and understanding and offered us a good deal to make it up for the extra driving I’m gonna have to do, thanks for that, I’ll update the review at the end of the trip.
Original review
I went to the one by Abbotsford and tried to rent one for the thanksgiving weekend almost a month ago and the guy there told us to wait until the week we were going to use it so now I just tried to rent one and they are all booked, the guy that we talked to was like if he didn’t want to talk, we were asking him questions and almos felt like he was in a bad mood, but I didn’t care, I mean, for a sales person you’d think they’d be more of a people person but anyway, but now that we’re getting ready for our trip they told me that 😡, at least the lady apologized but that doesn’t solve my problem, thanks for ruining my holidays.
Loved this place the staff was awesome. The RV are in great shape we did lots of of shopping around and by far really happy.
Would have been 5 Stars.
The staff were SUPER friendly and knowledgeable unfortunately there was a few issues . The RV that we got had a leaky sink so we had a flood the first day we did the dishes . A few more issues but too long to explain. Too much hassle for us thats why the 3 stars. I think I would rent there again unless I find better deal somewhere else.
We rented a 23ft Class C Medium for 12 days to drive to Calgary and back and had a great time. The folks at Four Seasons are friendly and helpful and the check out/return process simple and efficient. Next time, we will get the 24ft with the pushout just to give us a little more room around the kitchen/living area (even though there was only two of us). Just fyi, our mileage worked out to 22 litres per 100km.
This is a tough one to rate because I suspect it is a tough business to be in, therefore I have empathy for the business model... but just beware as a customer, that's all. It is not cheap to rent an RV (that's fair, I suppose, customer's choice)... but if you're paying that much and something isn't working during your trip, I would expect someone to return my email to acknowledge or troubleshoot. The stereo interface on the 20' Adventurer I'd rented was a cheap after-market product. It wouldn't keep time (the clock showed a different time each time I turned the vehicle on, even after I tried setting it), it wouldn't store radio station pre-sets, and the bluetooth connection didn't work so I couldn't make or receive phone calls or listen to my music while driving. In 2 weeks of my rental, my email to the representative who set up the rental received no reply. When I let them know about the issue upon returning the RV, they said that bluetooth is not part of the RV experience. Renting an RV is super fun which is why my rating isn't lower... but I'd rent from a different place next time based on their lack of customer service.
