Checked all my boxes for a perfect camping trip - stars, fire pits (firewood available), water at each site and proximity to the river. My friends and I enjoyed walking by the river at sunset and just enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. Location is tucked nicely away from any noise, but still close enough for a day at Harrison. Would definitely come again! Jamie was very kind and accommodating to our needs. Thank you, Jamie!
Camped here twice this summer - and we loved it. Management is friendly, the place is clean, and the space (at least the ones we chose) was great. I loved watching the stars at night and my family enjoyed walking over to the river. As some have pointed out, there are mosquitoes around but that's part of camping (so be sure to bring some Off or better yet mosquito nets).
We found this hidden gem when we were looking for a place to camp nearby Harrison Beach. As an inexperienced camper, I felt very comfortable staying at Cheam. The owner, Jamie, was super friendly, helpful and readily available which made our stay even more enjoyable. We appreciated how there was access to our own clean water/fire pit at every lot and there was always a well maintained portable washroom nearby. We loved driving out not very long to spend the day at Harrison and exploring Cheam's beach in the evening. Mosquitos weren't an issue for us, nothing bug spray can't fix! Will definitely be coming back in the near future, thank you Jamie for an amazing stay!!
Stopped in here for day-use, and absolutely loved it! With the campground being situated right on the Fraser River, directly inline with Mt. Cheam, it's one of the best views in all of Agassiz (and the Fraser Valley), hands down! It also had plenty of room to roam around, explore, or sit in the sun without that feeling of being overcrowded by others. As a local wedding photographer, I took a wedding party here for portraits and it was beautiful! I also really appreciated the friendliness and kindness of Jamie and the staff, so I will definitely be back!
Nice and wide river side camping spots but be ready for a lot of noise throughout the night because of nearby train tracks. Only a handful of fully serviced RV sites and the rest of them are just camping sites with water taps. Only portable toilets on site and they were mostly dirty. There is no garbage disposal so be ready to pack your refuse home. No dumping allowed other than the recycleable cans. We had fun otherwise.
