Mount Cheam

Beautiful place. Great hike.. two wheel drive or long wheelbase vehicles more than likely won't make it... 4x4 or awd ? washroom by the parking lot. that's the only one. Trekking poles highly recommended... Bring water. binoculars. bug spray... it's a Tough hike if not use to ?

You need a high clearance vehicle to get to the trail head. The hike is superb and the views are spectacular!

I have been on some intense hikes, but this one, thought short, climbs fast. The view however was phenomenal. More than worth it. Bring lots of water, and definitely bring a 4x4 with good clearance as the trail is not meant for an SUV. Bring a truck. If you're ever wanting to spend 4 hours on an amazing hike, this is the one. Bring shoes with good traction as it can be slippery at times. Fields of flowers surround you on the way up.

The approach to the trail head needs quite difficult 4wd driving.You cannot reach the trailhead with a 2wd car.

This hike overlooks the Chilliwack valley and has amazing vistas on the way up and amazing views at the top. One of my favourite parts is the old meteorite crater lake that you walk by and then get tons of views of as you hike up. We also enjoyed lots of wild blueberries as we walked along. Wonderful hike but a 4x4 is definitely required to get access to the trail head. Be warned this access road is bumpy.
