I would give it a five but then I might find something better. I never thought to review a lake, but another guide 'wondered' if there was in fish in the water. If you wish to fish there are fish in the water here. I think a few people have packed up their aquariums as it is full of goldfish. There are also large-mouth bass and rainbow trout. The bass are quite active during their normal times. The lake reaches a depth of 16m on the south-east portion, 8m on the south-west and north-east. Pretty swampy on the north-west and around the island. There are camping spots on the west side of the lake, but as far as I know there are no campfires in the Abbotsford district at any time of year. I like the view, the hike is not too bad for my physical condition and you don't need a boat to fish.
Nice hiking area
Quick hike. Beautiful spot and often very quiet up there.
Nice little unexpected lake. Lovely trail with some great forest and some fun obstacles. Expect about an hour in and just a bit more out. The lake itself and surrounding woods shows a bit of traffic and wear. No outhouse facilities at theblake so expect to squat on the wild side if nature calls.
45-minute hike from the parking area. A nice hike but long and hot depending on the month you visit. The lake isn't as nice as I had expected, not worth the trip.
