Hanky's Family Restaurant

This is hands down the best restaurant in Hope. Great people and food.

They make a ton of stuff in house and it shows. If you like real food and appreciate well prepared dishes & supporting local family owned businesses you should take the time to swing by!

This local restaurant gets mixed reviews on Facebook. And we concur. Our orders were fish and chips (a dish others reported to be good) and the house cheeseburger.

The decor is bright and welcoming. Nice music at appropriate levels playing. Service was prompt but less than attentive.

My fish and chips consisted of previously frozen triangles served with overcooked fries. The fish smelled "fishy" as frozen often does. The fries would have been great with about 30 seconds less cooking. The coleslaw was fresh and excellent!

My wife's cheeseburger was nicely presented with the same overcooked fries. Toppings were plentiful and tasty. However, she reports that the meat patty was barely warm.

That was our finding on these dishes today. We will return soon and try something else. That's when we decide on future visits.

They have sandwiches, wraps, burgers,bowls as well as salads

They also have freaking awesome cakes. Highly suggest the Earl Grey tea one.

Prices are very reasonable and the in house salad dressing is so good!

Drove through Hope on a day trip and were looking for a place to have lunch. We saw the great reviews for Hanky's, decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! Great customer service, super clean and pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and even though we didn't get a chance to try them the desserts look DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the house burger and the rice bowl. Thank you for the fantastic meal!

Delicious pub style food. I had the spicy chicken burger which was huge and very tasty. The kids had beef fried rice and we extremely happy! All for about $32! Love the old school decor too!
