Jug Island Trailhead

This is a really great hike for anyone with moderate abilities. It is possible to hike in running shoes, though there are some steep sections and the trail is very rocky/rooty and so actual hiking shoes/boots with proper ankle support would be wise. Depending on the tide, you may find some very interesting critters once you end up at your final destination (looking at Jug Island). This is a great spot for a picnic - keep your snacks, hands, and garbage to yourself though :)

Fantastic scenery for little walking

I wasn't prepared for the amount of up and down and wore a down jacket on a cold winter day...big mistake. Good little hike to a cute beach. Arrived when it was high tide so not sure if you could better views at lower levels

Good hike but beach is not sandy. But beautiful view!
