Nice park for a walkabout. There are boardwalks around most of the shoreline, except where it cuts back to the road or the path goes into the woods a bit.
It's marshy with lots of skunk cabbage and vegetation growing out of the water. There are some neat looking trees that have been uprooted but still growing sideways.
There are several small parking lots around the perimeter of the lake. Usually not a problem to find parking, it just depends where you want to start walking from.
The path goes by Shadbolt centre for the Arts, and the Century Gardens attached to it. The field outside Shadbolt is where live concerts are held in the summer. Pro tip: You can rent canoes and listen to concerts from the water. There's a boat rental place on the east side with tons of canoes.
Great trails, parking is a bit limited but also well patrolled for safety and compliance
Very well maintained. Enjoyed the time. Easy walk for anyone
