Lovely to walk around the lake; it's small enough not to seem daunting for those who are less mobile or fit, yet big enough to stay interesting, especially if you are a birder or nature lover. A fair bit if space has been allocated to naturalization, for birds and wetland species. The frogs can be pleasantly loud! There is at least one osprey that frequents the lake, which is stocked with rainbow trout in spring and fall.
There is a fenced-in playground on the east side of the lake (along Gatensbury St.), which is great if you have kids, but can be quite noisy when busy. So, if it's solitude & nature you're after, go when little ones are less likely to be there.
Watch out for goose poop if you
venture onto any of the spacious lawns and PLEASE DON'T FEED THE DUCKS.
Serene. Beautiful walking path around this small but pretty lake. Used to ice skate on the lake on Xmas Day when I was a child. Lots of picnic tables, lots of shade. Dogs allowed with leash. Well maintained by the City of Coquitlam. A little jewel. Enjoy!
Tranquility and peacefulness. Time to be close to God early in the morning in the park and meet unexpected people in between. Long lost friends, maybe?
It’s a cute neighborhood pond. You can walk around quickly. It looks good for the neighborhood kids though, as there’s tons of them. Expect mosquitos.
Como Lake goslings are here. I love this lake, I've been walking here for over 40 years. It's a nice size lake to walk around. Bring your family, kids, dogs and have a picnic at one of many picnic tables around the lake. It has a really cute and sizable playground for children and clean public washrooms at the north end parking lot.
