Spectacularly beautiful... however the trail is really hard to find.
We did this trail last weekend. Nice easy trail, snow free. We hiked uphill woodlands falls and then a steep part up to the sawblade falls, worth it. And then returned back tp parking. Took us like 2 hours. Follow the map in vancouvertrailsdotcom. Started off in the lower loop trail and are back down in the upper look trail.
Great trail for intermediate hikers (around 3-4 hours if you go upper loop). The trail head is a little hard to find but once you get on it, it's a straight path to the upper and lower loops. You will hear a lot of gunfire because there's a gun range close by. There are plenty of bears living here and out and about in the summer.
Burke Mountain is right in my backyard and hard to believe you are close to the city. You will hear the PoCo Hunting and Fishing Club fun range for part of the hike. Always be bear aware especially in berry season. The lower trails are well used by mountain bikers so stay alert. Once you are above the power lines it is less used and trails lead to some great falls. During the spring run off Pritchett Creek will be hard to cross. Trails are well marked but a map or GPS. Great place to bring your dog.
Great hike. Not many people on this trail. The trail head starts near the poco shooting range so there will be gunshots heard until you're a good ways into the hike. The upper trail after the falls going to the lookout point is very steep and will require the use of hands to scale some parts of the trail.
