Finally a proper authentic British Tavern. A true pub menu with British style pub handhelds. Portions are generous and tasty. Prices are reasonable and in some cases lower than high end Irish pubs. Plenty of free parking. Roomy but areas sectioned off for a certain amount of privacy. I was impressed and pleased with the staff's service. Will definately be going back. Suggest you give them a try.
The meal I had today was certainly not the best meal I have had at the Artful Dodger, but I will return as I have had many good meals there.
I have been patronizing the Artful Dodger for many years and a single less than favorable meal is not about to turn me away.
If you are in the area and looking for a relaxed place for a meal and an adult beverage you should give them a try.
Sadly, I didn't get a photo of my food but the fish tacos were excellent. The menu looks expensive but once the portion is served you understand why, its quite large. The fries which accompanied my main I could have passed on. They were very greasy and a bit underwhelming for something which is said to be hand-cut, not terrible but I'd chose a salad in the future. The overall establishment was very cute. It featured a seperate area away from the bar for families and children, an outdoor patio with table service and pool tables for added fun. There was several bar games including pull tabs lotto, Keno, and online poker if thats your jam. The live music on Saturday night was awesome the singer had an awesome set of lungs and the crowd really seemed to be loving the beats, enthusiastically dancing in whatever space they could. Plenty of parking is available but if you arrive on horse I'm told you can tie him/her in the penned area. An attached liquor store and dedicated motorcycle parking round out the place. 100% recommended for the mature crowd!
Very busy lunchtime. Service was slow owing to volume of diners but made up for by delicious food (fish tacos and liver/onions) and reasonably priced Belgian Moon pints.) Very amicable and attentive server.
A staple for the residents of South Langley and they host a lot of events. The food, staff, and location is great living in Langley for many years I have enjoyed this when I wanted to go somewhere besides a larger food chain.
It's quiet with lots of parking and they offer a liquor store for your convenience.
