“Love my little neighborhood shopping plaza. Lots of local businesses. Hakim's grocery has an amazing deli, takeout, produce and bakery (cakes are art). Great smallish grocery store. Lots of casual eateries, yoga, hair & nail salons, pet supplies, dance and music school, banks, a Notary, Shopper's Drugmart, Post Office. And the sushi place is as good as anywhere. Great service, big fresh chunks of nigiri. And this plaza is expanding.”

“Stocked with almost all you would need. Some things for specialty diets like those in my home. Love the vast amount of local suppliers and brands sold here. Management approachable if you have a suggestion for items for the store to carry. I have been shopping click & collect at superstore often since it’s inception, and recently decided to try at Hakam’s Independent. So pleased with their selection of produce and got my order perfect. Also sent me home with a banana and water bottle with a cute thank you note (my kids loved the joke). Nice personal touch and way to set you apart from the rest. Will definitely try this online shopping with you again, aside from my weekly trips in the store. They have great in store offers with points at the beginning of every month that add up to big savings fast. Pricing is comparable to other stores, but some things it is just a bit more expensive. I have noticed over the past few years prices have come down though. They get a full five stars because they are always involved in the community, and nowadays that really counts for something! We love it here, and are thankful for such a great grocery store in the Willoughby area.”

“Quality haircut and color- cut still holds well weeks later. I know this is great because my family is always asking me if I just got my hair done! Reasonably priced. Very accessible. The hairdressers really make you feel welcome and give you realistic expectations of the outcome while trying to achieve your desired look. This is a beautiful salon, and I’m only giving it 4 stars because it could do with just a little more to make it stand apart (bring tea, or hot towels, or more to read while you get cut). But they are new and I know these details take time. You can’t miss it in Willoughby Town Center- look for the glitter as you drive by! Now even does booking online. It is where I recommend my friends to go when they comment on how lovely my hair looks. What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood!”

“Both of our daughters enjoy their music lessons with Pablo. He is knowledgeable and patient. He started teaching our oldest ukulele a couple years back. In a short time with him, she gained the confidence to try out for the school Talent Show and she made it on. Pablo is now teaching her guitar. After seeing the fun her sister was having and the skills she was gaining, her younger sister wanted to join as well, so Pablo is currently teaching both of them on the guitar separately. Their administrator, Josie is also wonderful. She is helpful and inviting and has gone the extra mile to make the girls’ schedules work.”
