There s always that amazing view on the top , the climb was hard but if you're mentally prepared then it won't be as hard to reach the top
We started on the grind and succeeded in making our way over to and up Crown Mountain. Total 12 kilometers and 2100 meters elevation gain. We completed this in 7.25 hours both ways. As the numbers indicate we did more climbing then hiking. Nothing overly difficult relative to coming down. Scramble is a good word, over roots and rocks about two thirds of the day. This one will test you if you complete the grind first. Trail is poorly marked so pay attention it is tricky to stay on the trail so pay attention to where you are. One slightly intimidating rock face traverse and some slippery section with chain to assist on the uphill section.
A little bit hard to walk but really good exercise and good scenery. Don't expect man-made stairs everywhere some places are really rough. Bring plenty of water.
Fun and beautiful hike. Very peaceful and fresh. It took me about 70min to hike up the grouse grind and my fitness level is above average.
Had a great time.... The grind wasn't easy yet I just breathed took small steps and didn't look up.. The others people were so friendly and helpful. I felt really accomplished as it was my first climb.
