CEFA Early Learning Meadowtown

My son has been at Cefa Meadowtown for just over two months and there has been a major change there that makes me feel it necessary to update my review. My son continues to thrive happily at Cefa Meadowtown, thanks to their wonderful caring teachers and staff. In my previous review, I had raved about the school principal who really played such an integral role in the start of my and my son's journey at Cefa Meadowtown. If it wasn't for her, I strongly believe my son and I would have had such a rough start and probably wouldn't have been able to stay at Cefa Meadowtown. This principal displayed qualities that inspired so much confidence in me that I can entrust my son in her capable and caring hands. Her professionalism and knowledge, combined with her caring and compassionate wisdom, created such a strong leadership that created such a solid, secured, and comforting atmosphere through the entire school. This was why I chose Cefa Meadowtown for my son. From the first moment I met the principal to taking the school tour to meeting the teachers and staff, I felt like this was the perfect second home for my son. When I realized that my son was going to be spending half of his waking hours at school, it became very important to me that the school I chose has to feel like more than just a school, it has to feel like a second home and a second family to us. At the time my son started at Cefa Meadowtown two months ago, it felt just like that.
However, very recently we found out that the principal was terminated without notice or explanation except that it was a business decision and not personal. Unfortunately, this devastating news felt personal to the parents and the teachers and the staff because we do not see Cefa Meadowtown as a business. We have become a loving family under the guidance and leadership of our dear principal. I must say, because of the tremendous professionalism, care and dedication of everyone involved, the kids including my son don't seem to have been affected by this sudden change. But I must be honest that I, along with most parents I talk to, am keeping a very close eye to see that this major change does not affect our children's happiness and well being. And because I do consider Cefa Meadowtown as our second family, I am hoping with an open heart that the feeling of security, love, stability and family will be restored very soon. I know everyone I talk to at Cefa Meadowtown miss our principal very much. As I truly wish her the best of the wonderful promises of the future, I also truly wish the best future for Cefa Meadowtown and its owners. I really feel that Cefa Meadowtown is so special and unique and set above other schools because it didn't feel like just a business, it felt personal like a family. My hope is that the owners would be able to find someone who can bring recovery to this tremendous lost and restore these special qualities in the school that the previous principal instilled. Because we are a family, Cefa Meadowtown and its owners' success is our success. I look forward to updating this review in the near future with positive reports of success. I continue to be deeply grateful for all that Cefa Meadowtown mean to me and my son and our family. We love everyone here and wish wholeheartedly that we can remain happy here through this stage of my son's life.
