Best school by far. Helped me get through highschool with the tools they gave me
What can I say but thank you a thousand times over to the incredible staff at JCS. We have seen our daughter who has a learning difference (Dyslexia) at first recover from her time in the local public school system, start to grow and now flourish and thrive in this supportive, caring and focussed environment. My only regret is that she now will graduate back into the Public system as she goes to high school later this year. I wish JCS had the ability to continue through the High School years. That said as always they are doing a great job of preparing our daughter (and her peers) for this difficult transition. She will graduate from JCS with the tools, aptitude and self esteem that I feel are needed to carry her through the rest of her academic career. If you have a Dyslexic son or daughter, feel let down by the Public school system and are looking for an alternative I cannot encourage you enough to seriously consider JCS. Please reach out and get to know the Principle and teachers and good luck! There's more than hope here - there is real help.
JCS is the perfect school for your child with learning disabilities. My son suffers from Learning Disability Q - specific math disorder and dyslexia in general. He also has auditory processing disorder and working memory deficits. The school offers him a small class size, daily one-on-one orton gillingham tutoring and study hall for him to work at his own pace. The staff are extremely caring and nurture independence in the students. They also allow the children to use technology in the class if they have motor skill challenges. We are thrilled with our decision to send our son to JCS even though it requires a longer daily commute.
