Good school field trip. Small and friendly
Awesome place! Ask for Marcus, who is really knowledgeable when it comes to Port Moody's history. Great place for both, kids and adults.
I went here with my Grade 11 class and it was great. The man who gave us the tour was super kind and insightful. Great place to learn about WW1
The museum is centrally located next to Rocky Point Park. It is a very small museum, but it has some fun features. They have an interesting setup of an old kitchen, with all the appliances that make you get a good idea how things were. You can see old phones, typewriter, and train related artifacts.
This quaint little museum is an absolute diamond in the rough. While the facility is certainly not massive, it is beautifully and obviously lovingly maintained. Don’t let the size fool you - there’s plenty to keep you (and perhaps some little ones) occupied for an hour or two. Parking is notoriously difficult in the Rocky Point Park lot next door, but the museum always seems to have a spot or two available in exchange for a small donation. They deserve every penny - the museum is stuffed to the rafters with character and history!
...plus, it’s conveniently located steps away from a craft ice creamery, several craft breweries, and Rocky Point Park. Sounds like s great summer day in my books!
