(May 1, 2018, 4:26 am)We stopped here late on a rainy afternoon. The farmhouse was closed. It was only sprinkling so we walked around. Would love to come back when the weather is more cooperative and it's open. There was a couple in beautiful traditional wedding attire having pictures taken. Lovely area.

Elgin Heritage Park This land on the banks of the Nicomekl River was settled by John Stewart who built the fine Victorian farmhouse in 1894. The forested area between the two entrances to the park has many large trees often used by eagles and hawks to survey the surrounding area for prey.
