First time visiting this studio and had such an amazing experience! Very clean and welcoming! Strongly recommend this place if you look for recovering from an injury or surgery, if you were told to work on your core function and if you want to improve your breathing! Very clean and welcoming!
This beautiful, clean little fitness studio is such a great addition to the community. Janet is lovely and incredibly informative, attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. Everyone here will benefit from learning something valuable about their bodies. I highly recommend Janet and I'm so thankful for her guidance in helping me to take care of my postpartum body for the past 4 years and counting.
I highly recommend training sessions with Janet, the founder of Alignmethod. Her knowledge is vast and she is trained in a variety of methods and techniques, all with a goal to improve one's core health. She gives individualized attention based on your one's particular needs. The Alignmethod studio is very inviting yet intimate enough for personalized support. The free neighbourhood parking is a huge bonus as well! It's great to have this valuable resource right in the Mackenzie Heights community.
After having 2 children and getting back into running, I thought a bit of leaking was normal. That's what the other Mom's thought too...And don't even think about jumping on a trampoline!! How wrong we were! Mummy Tummy and leaking can effectively be addressed by working with an expert like Janet doing specific pelvic floor and core work. At the same time I get a decent workout in a small class that is both fun and challenging!
As someone who worked out a lot and was very comfortable with my fitness knowledge before pregnancy, I had a very hard time finding any prenatal-specific fitness classes that I felt were worth it. I wish I had found Janet's studio from the beginning but was thrilled when I finally discovered it at around 33 weeks! She is incredibly knowledgable, is very good at identifying what is happening with your body just by watching you move, and will actually make you sweat. I absolutely plan to continue training with Janet after giving birth and have complete faith she can help guide me to recovering safely and to best functioning.
