Kinemi's Kitchen

Cute little casual place in South Burnaby area. It’s hidden in a small complex. We went right after it opened so it was pretty quiet. The service was a little slow since there was only one chef, but the food was definitely worth the little wait. I also thought the price was on par wit the quality and the portion. I had the dunguness crab curry pasta and it was nothing like I’ve had before. I was pleased to see lots of real crab meat in the dish and curry flavour was not something I had experienced before. I can imagine this place getting pretty busy during peak hours.

The food here! The food here! The food here is amazing! I think the owner is an olderly Japanese couple, their understanding of English is limited. I don't think she is rude or anything. Me and my girlfriend came here on a cold Friday afternoon, the hot food warmed our stomachs, Filling and satisfying.

Hidden gem in the neighbourhood. Amazing food for a great price. I try to eat here weekly to get my fix.

My construction crew and I have been coming here for years. Every Friday. We don't get menus anymore.. Appys arrive a couple minutes after we sit down. Food is excellent! Staff is friendly. Chef is 5 star. Italian restaurants around town, especially the one where people line up outside past the door in Burnaby won't mention the name (idiots) couldn't compete with this place. Don't expect fancy decor or miniskirts just a tummy full of good food at a descent price point.

Think quite a few posters mentioned poor service and attitude. Guess with just a husband/ wife operating the business is really understaffed. If u can look past this then you will be rewarded with great food. Just skip the expectation of service then you won't have a problem.
