“I had the lamb wrap and it was pretty good. The meat was decent, and freshly cut when I ordered, but definitely not the most flavourful I’ve had. They use your typical pita, and the veggies are fresh. They have some baklava on site, but I didn’t look super fresh so I didn’t try it. Service was friendly and quick. I may visit again, but still prefer a place further down Robson.”

“Guy with Garlic was the most authentic Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in Vancouver till this point. Loud greetings when you enter/leave with seating and atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in a bar in the streets of Tokyo! Service was absolutely amazing and the food... the most incredible experience ever! Wide variety of dishes that I have never tried before with also some original Japanese dishes that are 10 times better than what you’d find at a street market! Highly recommend and I will definitely bring my friends here when I’m in town! Highly recommend ordering off the tapas menu!”

“My favorite item is the Calpico with vanilla ice cream, and that’s the main reason I come to this place. The place is pretty small so you have to get there with time because you will wait for a while to get a table, they don’t do reservations. I think the combos are excellent options and for 1 more dollar you can get the big portion. That’s perfect for me since I never finish and I save it for dinner. The ramen is fresh and tasty.”

“3.75 stars actually. The beef stew is excellent I would give that probably 8 out of 10, similar to Chinese beef brisket but more savory. Nice quality noodles (7/10 good mouth feel and perfect el dente) and they're simple (6.5) soup goes really well with the beef and the noodle dynamic. Definitely better than your average bowl of noodles and worth trying but I definitely get an extra order of the braised beef cuz it's so delicious. They make their broth with OXTAIL, told them to add more cause I couldn't taste it.”

“I went here on June 22nd with my friend A. I wanted something fresh and filling and thought why not having Poke for lunch. I ordered Hanauma regular ($12.95) and my pal ordered Diamond Head regular ($12.95) it was pretty good. A found Diamond Head bit salty because of spicy salmon and spicy seaweed salad, but Hanauma was pretty good. It had lots of toppings in variety. Veggies and fish toppings were fresh. Food was so filling. Great food for the price. It was definitely reasonable and the portion was hearty. Brown rice tasted pretty good too.”

“My boyfriend and I got take out from here today and it was the best Thai we’ve ever had. The staff was friendly and the food was ready really quickly. Everything was very well presented despite being takeout. We got the Tom yum soup, green curry, spring rolls, some pad noodles and cashew chicken...all of them very tasty and fresh. Definitely our new go-to place for Thai!!!”

The restaurant has undergone a change in management and it sounds like the new chef is in the works of creating new menu items, something that hopefully elevates the dining experience further for such a beautiful location. The dessert here also truly stands out on its own and is very well done; the taste is exquisite and a wonderful amalgamation of ingredients.”

Bread quality is actually pretty impressive, crunchy on the crust and soft inside Cocktail was decent Soup, crab salad, and the steak were just average quality. The soup itself ...Humm ...just look at the photo and you know what I mean... The steak was too salty and the crab salad taste slightly funny (girlfriend only had couple bites and decided to leave it.) The dessert was surprisingly good! (Without the dessert, I would probably rate the overall rxoerience 3stars ~)”

“A lovely experience, first restaurant dine-in meal I've had since the pandemic began. So glad I picked such a personable and cared for restaurant to go to. I felt happy and the food was like a meal my family would prepare for me, but a lot more thought out and extravagant. The flavours complimented each other, and even though I had to make mine "gluten free" because of allergies, the chef gave me an extra egg for no added charge. Very happy, will go back again!”

“Great Hamburgers! Especially like the Ultimate Cheeseburger...I added extra cheddar slices. Filling hamburger with tasty meat and slightly sweet bun. Little Pricey for fast food but worth the money, better than equally priced Fatburger, Five Guys and White Spot. Besides looking like a bathroom with all the white tilling, the food and presentation is worth the visit. Fries are not worth ordering , dry and chalky and frozen texture, but onion rings are good. Milkshake is good too. Gonna be a regular place for me!”

“I had Mak N Ming at Dine Out and it was a good experience. The portions are big enough for the 3 meal course. I had a tuna appetizer and there were quite a few pieces of tunas in there. I had fish for the main course and it was nice a light, not heavy at all. The coconut pudding dessert was very refreshing, it was not too sweet and not heavy at all.”
