Located inside John Hendry Park in the east side of Vancouver. A really wonderful park run by the Vancouver Parks Board. The Trout Lake Community Centre is also located within the park. There are several parking areas and access points to enter into this park. And parking is FREE. Trout lake beach main entry point is off of 18th Avenue between Victoria Drive and Garden Avenue.
Very popular with local residents during the summer months.
NOTE: swimming is permitted at the south end if the lake.
NOTE: there is a leash free area on the west side of the lake.
NOTE: the west side parking lot is also the main entry point for the community Centre.
Nice lake with nice view around. In October it looks great when trees are turning colors. No kayak or boat is allowed without permission.
Wonderful park in Vancouver. Has 2 playgrounds for the kids. A running trail around the lake and park. Great community center and ice rink and small cafe. The lake is swimmable in the summer and in winter if it is freezing enough can turn into a rink. Great Lake for dogs too.
Good park for large gatherings. Just bring your own tents and tables and barbeques. Lots of grassy areas and trees. There is a small beach area by the lake. The park area is not very flat as it is near water.
A convenient location and peaceful park like area. About 30 acres.
on Victoria drive, & 19th avenue, with lots of green grass. A lot of tree shades. (But one had to bring your own picnic table, and chairs)
A lake for kids, to play. With adult supervision.
Concession stand and washroom facility. Very convenient. On sunny weekends. It's full of people..
Church group, family groups,
Our choir group 62 people were there...
It's entirety free to use this park.
One can park on streets if the 2 parking lots are full (can park a total 60 - 70 cars)
Trout Lake Beach is at the south end of Trout Lake in John Hendry Park at Victoria Dr and East 19th Ave. Trout Lake Beach offers a swimming raft, play fields, concession, washrooms, picnic area, summer lifeguards, dog off-leash area (north end of lake), and free parking. It is also near the Trout Lake Community Centre.
A great park for walking, running, biking, picnicking or whathaveyou. Stop by our cafe on the way for a complementary coffee.
