Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Address: 578 Carrall St, Vancouver, BC V6B 5K2, Canada

“The garden has a free side and a paid side. The free is nice place to go to get away from the city but it can get a bit muddy during after the rain and crowded during the weekend. The paid side is more serene and tranquil with covered areas and intimate gardens. There's even a small gallery with hot tea and a few other exhibits. I always enjoy going to the garden both on the paid and free sides.”

Granville Park

Address: 3001 Fir St, Vancouver, BC V6J 5M9, Canada

Park

“It's a simple park nice to walk your dog and spend some relaxing time with the kids (if you have them) in a fairly quiet neighbourhood. Not much to do otherwise since is just a lot with grass and a playground BUT, if you live nearby, that is an excellent place to go and play when it snows ? (see attached picture). Although I have to admit, the park is pretty since is surrounded by trees and it has some benches.”

Wading pool is only open on specific days and times, you have to check online. Has public washrooms. Great spot for bbqs or picnics as there are areas shaded by trees but limited permanent tables, they no longer have the moveable ones which were great. Good spot to watch the summer fireworks at the east end of the park. Couple community events are hosted here annually, including the Point Grey Fiesta.”
