“Let’s cut through the BS: I restore antiques professionally, and have been relying upon Mohawk for all my button shellac, hide glue, and stacks of other supplies, for over a decade. The supplies that I need have always been on their shelves in superabundance, and I have never had an unpleasant experience with the staff. In fact, not only have they been courteous every time with me, but I have witnessed them patiently giving furniture finishing instruction to neophytes on many, many occasions. This is an industrial finishing supply business. If you want your hand held, given a hug, served tea and biscuits while having your feet rubbed, go elsewhere. I suspect that the people who have issues with Mohawk and its staff are the same ones who need continual reassurance and affirmation from total strangers wherever they go. People with clear ego deficiencies, and a ridiculous set of expectations, should never venture further than their front doors. Normal people will not have a complete ego meltdown in Mohawk if the clerk isn’t fawning all over them, and the supplies offered by Mohawk are the best in the Lower Mainland.”
