“Very nice for basic printing. The staff is friendly and signed me up for a free card in minutes. It’s nice to have computer and print services here. I wish they opened earlier, but you can’t have everything. I can’t speak to actual borrowing services, but when you’re in a pinch for print/web services...this is a good option.”

“Everyone is friendly here. I love the little ticket shop in the kids area. It’s a small branch so washrooms can be occupied most of the time.”

“Some of the employees are really helpful; but sometimes they make a lot of noise there; even more than the students do. You can’t really study near the book borrow section.”

Vancouver Public Library, Hastings Branch

Address: 2674 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5K 1Z6, Canada

Library

“I love VPLs. The Hastings neighborhood branch is not particularly pretty but it's functional and you get everything you need. On hold items and quick checkout work very well.”

Vancouver Public Library, Oakridge Branch

Address: 191 - 650 W 41st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2M9, Canada

Library

“probably the best, most considerate VPL staff. However, not the quietest library granted it's vicinity to near by high schools and the amount of tutoring sessions that take place here that are way above a whisper. Not so loud from visiting children, and their children's section is separated from where one would find a nice spot to study. Not the biggest selection of books either, but ideal for getting work done as long as you don't mind having to ask people to quiet down.”

Vancouver Maritime Museum

Address: 1905 Ogden Ave, Vancouver, BC V6J 1A3, Canada

“Great place for kids or adults. I spent 2 hours there and didn't have time to visit everything. The guided tour of the ship was really interesting time, when I learned a lot about Arctic exploration.”

“great library w/a great aboriginal collection.. unfortunately their selection besides that is pretty sparse.. but they're a relatively new location, so this will change w/time i'm sure.. they also recently added the Bud Osborn recording booths.. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but i took a tour, & am looking forward to recording vocals there! the staff is also very nice & helpful.”
