A hidden little gem! A quaint little cafe / pastry shop. Their croissants (plain, cheese and almond) are huge, light and flaky. Especially the almond croissant is delicious. Their cakes (strawberry shortcake, sweet potato mousse cake and red velvet cheesecake) are beautiful and made with good ingredients. You can taste it’s made with care. Their cold caramel latte is great with nice coffee taste and level of sweetness is just right.
I was pleasantly surprised by café Dorothy, I didn't know what to expect and came in with zero expectations, after someone suggested it to me. Their pastries all looked fabulous and there was quite an array, something for everyone but their strawberry shortcake is what caught my eye! It was packed in a cute to go box with a handle, take out convenience at its finest. The cake was an even amount of chantilly cream, fresh strawberries and vanilla sponge cake, not too sweet either, perfect and refreshing!
Their savoury menu is quite small, they had 4 sandwiches to choose from in their display case, when I arrived. I chose the ham and cheese. I was a little apprehensive with how much romaine there was on that sandwich and definitely confused why they gave me a side of relish with it but I decided to eat it as served. Oh man, I will be back for that sandwich!! The lettuce turned out to be the perfect amount to add a fresh element to the croissant sandwich, between the cheese, ham and buttery croissant, it needed that addition and the relish was an added cut through the otherwise richness of the ingredients. Today I learnt that I don't mind relish on ham and cheese sandwiches.
Their coffee menu hosted some classics and some unique to their location, they also have house made 'ades (like lemonades) and I'll have to come back to try that, they looked delicious. I tried their iced toffee nut latte and really enjoyed it, the coffee wasn't bitter, it was very smooth and it wasn't too sweet, which was perfect because I always worry about that when syrups get involved.
There is more on this menu that I need to try, I'll definitely be back!!
A really cute cafe with awesome drinks and baked goods. The staff are super friendly, and the overall atmosphere inside is comfortable and laid back. I’ve been coming here for the past few months to study and there is never any big distractions. My personal favourites are the chocolate almond danish, iced matcha latte, and their Irish breakfast tea.
Love this cafe! The coffee tastes really good. My husband had a sip of left-over coffee of mine, and asked me where I got it. 😃😃😃 They make fresh baked goods at the cafe, I had almond bread(don’t remember the exact name) and it was good. Planning to try different bread in the future. Highly recommend the place :D
Their coffee is really great. Of course, their pastry is amazing too. People working there are very friendly. My cousin got my birthday cake from there. It is not too sweet and just right! They take custom cake orders and very accommodating.
