I can not believe the jerk who is trying to close the trail from public access… been going to these falls for over 20 years personally and I went to bring my child and wife today to come across a chain and signs and posts about some small angry man with go pros getting in people’s faces and trying to stop everyone from getting to the falls. Blown away. Karma will definitely get that guy.
This is a nice modest “hike” or more so a scenic walk. It’s great to bring your dog if you have one but keep them on leash as some of the paths are quite narrow leaving you very close to other people and their pets.
At the end of the hike you come up to the falls which is cool and refreshing and is best to view in fall and winter. Summer time there isn’t much water flowing.
This is a nice easy walk by the river and it leads to some amazing falls. The area is super nice to get out and there are some cool information signs about how they count all the different species of fish in the river!
There is a section that is closed off that says private property which is weird because it is public land so just be aware of where you are going. There are a few trails that lead towards the falls and it is a beautiful place to sit and relax to the sound of rushing water.
Awesome hike, however, the lower trail is blocked by a private land owner who purchased the property the trail runs through. The upper trail is also marked as closed, but also has a sign permitting access from the property owner at your own risk.
Love this super easy trail. Great for running but it is super popular for kids and families so try to avoid busy times.
Great for off leash dog walks. Note to keep your pup on leash for the first part if they, like mine, love to find dead fish to roll in. Your nose will thank me.
