Dr. Leah is amazing. I've always taken my cat to highly rated vets, and every vet prior to Meadowbrook said his weight wasn't a problem, that his metabolism would balance out, that he would be fine etcetc. He was 3 years old and 17lbs (and he's not one of the big cat breeds). NOT okay. I was worried for ages but none of the vets took my concerns seriously and since he had another health problem I didn't feel confident changing his diet without vet consultation. The vets always said he was fine, and I had no info to move forward without their guidance, which they refused to give me because there was "no problem".
Dr. Leah took one look at my cat, and said something along the lines of "well first off, he's overweight." I almost cried while exclaiming "I KNOW!" She helped me figure out exactly how much he should be eating, what foods were best for him, and planned how to help him lose weight AND communicate with my roommates about it (multi cat household where only 1/4 cats was mine), all during our initial visit. They even followed up with an email to check in on us. You can tell she REALLY cares about cats.
The cat-only environment stressed my cat out to the extreme (apparently the scent of dogs, cats, birds, bunnies etc is more calming than just cats) so we haven't been back unfortunately, but I'd take him back in a heartbeat if I felt another vet was not giving him the care he needs.
Wonderful vets! I have a senior kitty who was not doing great, and they were fantastic with her! I thought perhaps her time had come, but they said, not yet, she's ok, just depressed, take that cone off her, she'll perk up. I love this place. 10/10, I'm so happy with our experience, what a relief to know my cat is in good hands. Thank you very much to everyone at Meadow Brook Cat Clinic! All your staff are fantastic. I'll be singing your praises to all my friends. :-)
Dr. Leah was really kind and thorough. She took really good care of our kitty. Also impressive and fast blood testing while we waited. Highly recommended.
Dr. Montgomery is wonderful and gives excellent advice. She is very knowledgeable and takes not only the health of the pet in to account, but also the family that supports the pet. We have been with her for many years and we cannot thank her enough for her kindness, empathy and devotion to our pets.
Our family trusts her implicitly and her staff are always kind.
We also love that we get email reminders and can check our pets profile online for the various vaccines etc.
They are a sister clinic to Shaughnessy Vet Hospital and the entire clinic is especially designed to be minimally stressful for cats. The staff are gentle and attentive to the furbabies. I'd recommend this clinic, especially if your cat tends to panic going to the vet.
