“Grabbed a quick bite here while on a recent stop over. They were out of almost everything but luckily the one burger they had left was actually the one I wanted - the chicken. Ordered one with extra pickles and a side of fries. Came to about $18. Service was quick and the burger was tasty. A bit more chicken would have been nice - it was a deep fried breast pounded out fairly thin. The fries were hot and crispy. Overall it was decent but I may opt for one of the other nearby options next time.”

“This is a new location aside from the Kingsway one. Best Shanghainese cuisine in town. Very enthusiastic, tastes exactly the same like what I had back in Shanghai. Dumplings are big and juicy, noodles are firm with the right flavor. The complementary bean they have which is a unique Shanghainese dish that also tastes amazing. Their tea egg is the best one I have tried in Vancouver as well. If you are a Shanghainese or love Shanghainese food, this is a must try place.”

“FRESH, FAT AND FRIENDLY!!!! The shrimp, not the workers, although they are friendly too. I've been buying their spotted prawns for several years and the quality is top notch. They literally bag, the live and swimming shrimp as customers come to pick up, so it's always fresh. Just make sure you order ahead of time or there's a high chance you won't get any. Yes, the demand for their catch is that high.”

“Small coffeeshop (not a big corporate chain!) that opened up here in the Fall. I visit whenever I go grocery shopping at the Save-On-Foods. Staff are friendly, I used to work in this exact store back when it was still a Starbucks, so it was fun to chat with them about that experience. I was literally in their shoes a couple years back! Coffee is always excellent, I've only ever tried their Lemon Loaf for food, gotta come when I have more time to try some of their hot food.”

“New restaurant with a mix of dim sum options as well as Hong Kong style Cafe items. We had salted fish chicken fried rice, swirl egg beef on thick noodles, baked pork chop on rice and dim sum steamed chicken feet. The food was good, not too salty or oily. One of our servers was still in training and still getting their system together. We will try their French toast next time it is supposed to be their specialty.”

“So happy! 😃 Van Tea Cafe Richmond finally opened on Oct 19, Van Tea Cafe is a HK style cafe located on the corner of 41st and Main. My family always has trouble deciding where to eat , my friend had recently recommended Van Tea Cafe so that's what I suggested, and our whole family are now their loyal guests in general they have so many delicious dishes to recommend! First of all, I personally highly recommend Drunken Chicken Pot, Singapore Laksa Rice Noodles, Steamed Rice with Northern Mushroom Slider Chicken and Chipotle Chicken Ball Pot! Also worth mentioning is their breakfast, Both breakfast with French Toast were quite good. I like their crispy sided sunny sides up and the smooth omelette. The French Toast totally satisfied our cravings. It was crispy egg battered outside with egg custard jam inside. You could add the butter and syrup on top of your French Toast. The Satay Beef on macaroni was very flavorful with the satay sauce. 👍 Food was delicious and one of the best laksa in Vancouver! Reasonably priced and huge servings. The place is very clean inside Amazing staff, very kind polite and patient. Vancouver is an Asian food hub and Van Tea Cafe is the best Hong Kong styled restaurant. Very authentic, would 100% recommend.”
