Isshin Sushi

I used to ordered takeout and ate sushi at this restaurant for more than 2 years. I even have them 5 stars on my previous review. But today's sushi takeout taste so terrible, the sushi rice are too soft to pick up using chopstick, the food are also tasteless (no sushi taste), not fresh and deep fried"s are soggy.

When I called to the restaurant, and asked whether they had changed their chef, one of the server told me that they've new ownership and new staffs. Because of the quality foods that I am getting today, I want to give them 0 star, but there are no option for me to choose. My pictures are to show you how the old management's sushi looks like, under new management their sushi looks and taste different.

I am not recommending anybody now to this place.

Update June 10, 2022:. Ordered take out from Isshin Sushi again after avoided this place for 1 year due to bad quality (after they had changed to a new management).

Today, I find out that they have changed to a new management again, and this new management sushi is very good, taste as good as before. Highly recommend this place again.

I think this restaurant deserves a high rate base on the sushi presentation and the passion how they prepare food. For someone who gave just star and complained about more expensive to order from Skip than ordering directly from the restaurant. That comment is totally funny and ridiculous. Skip and Uber charged restaurants too much, if they keep same price in Skip, it means they made no profit. What is the point they run a restaurant if there is no profit? If you want cheaper price, pick up by yourself. However, if Skip is your only choice for food then you expect to pay more. That is the price you pay for the way you choose.

Service & food are both amazing. The quality and portion sizes of the food are great, it's not often you get both. But I honestly can't say enough good things about the service we received. All the staff were super kind, attentive, and so so accommodating. Reserved here for a special dinner with both adults and kids and they really made it special. This place is a gem!

The staff here is incredibly friendly and hospitable. The interior is inviting, clean and very aesthetically pleasing. I cannot recommend this place enough. I tend to do pickup after hitting the gym and one of the staff members even remembered this habit despite there being a couple of months in between my visits. Just goes to show how much they care and pay attention to their customer service. Easy 5 stars from me!

Excellent sushi and service was so fast. Very polite. Sweet find in Surrey! Will definitely go back! 😊
