I ordered the Tangent bookcase and media cabinet a few years ago, and was pleased with the look and quality. I recently ordered 2 Boxwood curio cabinets with 3/8 " glass shelves to replace my china cabinet. I am thrilled! They have modernized my dining room and the quality is excellent. Solid wood and beautifully made. This is a local company and the product is locally made. That is becoming more and more important to me.

We wanted to replace some well-loved furniture and also wanted to support a local Vancouver, independent, small business during the COVID-19 hardship. Our online research for a local business with positive, genuine reviews led us to visit Creative Home Furnishings, Vancouver. There we met Maria who was very personable and helpful in providing honest product information for our consideration. She never applied any high-pressure sales tactics.

We live in a house built with many unconventional, angular features and needed custom sizing for our entire purchase. In total, we purchased a dining table, a chef’s stand, a bench, two bespoke storage units and two bespoke bookshelves in her beautiful Tangent design, plus four Harvard dining chairs. We were proud that all pieces would be made in Canada from Canadian wood, and that a local B.C. craftsman would be handcrafting all but the four chairs, sourced from Ontario.

Maria worked with us over multiple design drafts based on the extraordinary dimensions of our rooms and didn’t commit to manufacturing until we were completely satisfied. She even suggested that the shelves of our odd sized units maintain visual, horizontal uniformity in a room with a sloped ceiling to add balance to an otherwise peculiar space.

Every piece is solidly built with quality wood. They are artfully crafted and will be cherished long into our future. We are 100% satisfied and are already thinking of our next purchase from Creative Home Furnishings.

We purchased a dining bench along with a beautiful maple table with a custom stain. Maria helped us with the design process and we are thrilled with the pieces we bought. What a great experience! We ordered six custom bar stools by Trica. They were amazing. Couldn't have asked for better service or products. Easy to deal with and accommodating. I just love the boutique service. We will be back for sure!
