“As others mentioned, the atmosphere at the East Van Brewing Company in Vancouver is fantastic. I’m more of a drinker of spirits but I ended up enjoying the community lager (if I’m not mistaken, they called it that). Not a bad spot to watch the Vancouver sunset too. Great music too. East Van Brewing Company is a great spot for drinks and we’d definitely visit them again!”

“Ordered a lobster roll/bisque combo. My friend ordered a whole lobster roll. Taste wise is good, but just not really an authentic lobster roll nor a lobster bisque. There were barely any lobster meat in the roll, prob 85% or more tasted like imitations. The bisque had minimal lobster flavour and like one of the reviews mentioned below, it tasted like curry carrot chowder. With the inflation nowadays, I guess this is the best you can get locally without flying to NYC or Boston. Tried once, probably won’t order again for the same value. This review is referring to the food truck. However, I believe their recipe would be the same…”

“This is my favourite vegan sushi restaurant. It’s so nice that it’s entirely vegan. Their rolls are unique and delicious. Every turn I order delivery they put a punny cute message on the bag with my name on it. Highly recommend!”

“We are so fortunate that Daphna of Breathe Kitchen, decided a few years ago to offer to the general public the same savoury delights that if you were fortunate to be somewhere, where she brought her dishes to community meal or invited into her home you know why these pies and quiches are so popular and delicious. Her pies now being offered in larger quantities, offered all over BC are made with the same love and care as the ones served to close friends. As do all dedicated Vegan Plant Based Chefs, Daphna is showing the world or at least those lucky enough to live in her corner of the planet, that good food tastes good no matter what it’s made of. Breathe Kitchen pies and Quiches prove once again, that someone didn’t need to die or suffer for you to eat something delicious. Thank you Daphna.”

“We live far away from Vancouver (Baton Rouge Louisiana)! We wanted to celebrate our son’s new engineering job with something he loves! Cookies!! Thankfully we found Vancouver Best Cookies and had a dozen of their Easter specials sent to his residence on campus. The team at Best cookies went above and beyond to ensure delivery (on a busy day) of their fantastic treats. Thanks again Leo for sending a little bit of yummy comfort to a very tired but happy UBC student!!”

“Drinks and food are always good here. My recent visit to Andina was on a long weekend Sunday and I just wanted to share how impressed I was with the server. He was the only front end worker when we were there (1-3pmish) and it was quite busy. He was VERY friendly and efficient - greeting and seating guests, scanning vaccine passports, taking orders, serving beer and mixing drinks, getting food, cleaning tables. I just have to say, Great Job!”

“A nice Vietnamese food truck offering deep fried goodness. I have had the pleasure to try this food truck on a few occasions and have not been disappointed. Recently had their “All Day Brunch Box” which consists of fried lemon grass chicken sandwich, a fried egg, and side of tater tots. What more could you ask for in deep fried goodness! The chicken is a darker meat, juicy, and more flavorful. The pickled slaw could use more pickling flavor to help cut some of the grease feeling from the chicken (though it is not extremely greasy to begin with). The fried egg is always a nice touch but the yolk could be a tad runnier (make sure to specify this if you prefer, I had forgotten). Overall it’s a nice explosion of flavours. The tater tots were phenomenal and really satisfied the craving. The staff/owners were super friendly as well. Would recommend!”

“Yolks = Yum. My partner and I go every weekend we’re in town. Perfectly poached eggs, friendly staff, good vibes, and chocolate milk out of this world. Honestly can say have never had a bad experience here. An absolute must for any body who enjoys a good brunch. The chicken and waffles are amazing and I reckon you’ll have have hard time finishing it. Oh and make sure you try the crispy hash brown patties.”

“Good, but very to the point. Don’t expect the full third wave coffee experience from the cafe. You can buy all their beans here as it’s their roasting depot, but it’s clearly not meant to be a cafe first, the cafe is more of an added bonus to the factory. Pretty simple small clean interior, not much of an atmosphere going on. It feels like a coffee roaster, but not a cafe, if that makes sense. Staff were both nice and knowledgeable though. Not really the place you go to sit and enjoy coffee, no patio space outside either from what I see. This was written during the pandemic so perhaps this may change in the future, but it doesn’t look like a large space for seating in any case. One type of espresso bean and two batch brews. No pourover options etc. Granted, the caliber espresso, a medium roast, that they do serve here is excellent. They do sell coffee paraphernalia as well.”
