Active skateboarders, basketvballers, dogs and people enjoying the sun in February. Friendly, smiling, and happy. 3 thumbs up.
Love this park!!! Skate park is fun, just be careful of peoples dogs. Not all dogs are skate friendly.
Didn't spend much time there today, but the watering of the green space, the vibe of the people playing basketball and a beautiful walk makes me want to go again.
Great place for events! Good to have your dog off-leash. Skate park, playground and baseball diamond, anything else you need?
Strathcona is a great park that I would frequent quite a bit with my kid. The families tend to be down to earth and friendships are quickly made. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is the chance of finding needles there. It's not as common as other areas and sadly it's a part of life in Vancouver but bringing a very young kid here would be difficult. At the time (and maybe still) there was a service you could contact that would come out and pick up any needles found and we twice contacted them at the park. 2 times isn't a lot but it's enough to make mention of.
