“Such a cute and funny art installation out in English Bay! My husband and I had a lot of fun taking photos imitating the artist’s facial expressions and body language. There’s always people here so if you want photos with no one in the background, the best time to go is in the morning before 10:00. We noticed that people tend to start their days a little later or they have already started their day early if they’re heading to the mountains. People also stay out pretty late in the summers since the sun doesn’t set until after 9:30 p.m. Have fun!”

“City of Vancouver has done an amazing job in upgrading their community parks. Even though this is really out there.. not quite a neighborhood park. BUT the kids loved being here. Very safe and soft rubber surfaced park with good fun installations for the kids to play. All installations were well thought out and in great condition. The rock climbing on a slant wall for the kids to climb up and then slide down and the net pyramid with a suspension bridge took the cake. These are at an elevation when compared to a turf track where I guess one can go for a run with a good visual of the kids.”

“Baseball diamonds, tennis courts, playground, benches and a row of picnic tables make this an all-around nice park for families and everyone. Level sports field for soccer or frisbee. Lots of mature trees offer a nice balance of sun and shade. Enjoy!”

“Great park near to cafes & restaurant. Our group has hung out there during the last couple of summers when we could only come together outdoors. Can be interesting to watch odd people in 👙 or kids soccer party while we catch up with my friends!”

“It's a decent park given its smaller size. Grassy field in the middle with a circular walk path around it. There is a small children's playground and an enclosed court. Great for walking your dog.”

“I love having this great beach with amazing views only 400m from where I just moved to. I can walk there in 5 minutes. It's so nice to be able to do that and not need to worry about parking. I feel blessed. Sure the water is a little chilly but on a hot day I can still go in up to my neck.”

“This church is full of real people with big hearts. I wasn't familiar with the United Church when I decided to stop by for a Sunday service and I felt immediately at home. Authenticity, social justice, and strong community support are clearly valued and honored. I've been a part of this community for 4 years now and I'm super grateful.”

“Strathcona is a great park that I would frequent quite a bit with my kid. The families tend to be down to earth and friendships are quickly made. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is the chance of finding needles there. It's not as common as other areas and sadly it's a part of life in Vancouver but bringing a very young kid here would be difficult. At the time (and maybe still) there was a service you could contact that would come out and pick up any needles found and we twice contacted them at the park. 2 times isn't a lot but it's enough to make mention of.”

“Strolling through Strathcona Linear Park is like stumbling upon a euphoriac oasis on a journey through the hell which is my life. I don't want to over sell it but there is simply not a better park in the entirety of Canada to visit. Unlike OTHER parks, Linear Park is a mystical place where dreams happen. You are free to be whoever you want to be. Age, gender, orientation, health, politics - The Linear park will NEVER judge you. You are always welcome and Linear Park will listen. It's the friend you never knew you had but always hoped existed. Is it possible for a park to be your soul mate? I don't want to dwell on that. Though I would be lying if I didn't admit my love for the park is putting pressure on my marriage. I have room in my heart for BOTH the Linear park and my partner. She feels I pay Linear park more attention than I do her. I love them both, differently. Cant she see that? Linear Park never judges me, only listens. Maybe one day the world will recognize our love but until then I'll proudly declare it against all doubters and naysayers. Strathcona Linear Park completes me. 5 stars.”

“This spot has it all (almost)! A skate park, a playground, picnic tables, basketball courts... I wish there was a dog park! Sometimes doggies can play in the field during the day but technically owners could get a ticket for having dogs off-leash... a dog park here would be awesome!”

“This is a lively park located beside a school and tucked into the urban sprawl. The Andy Livingstone field is at the south end and across the street. This area does have a edgy feel as there are homeless and those with substance abuse issues in the neighbouring areas. Its still a quaint park to chill and have a few beers so don't be swayed away. The pond overshadowed by the cherry blosoms and weeping willows are some of its better features. Check out the Chinese Suanpan Abacus across the street at 35 Keefer. It's huge!”
