I'm new to West Van.. popped in to Bicicletta today to replace my old Bell helmet with a fancy new upgraded Spec model. Excellent customer service, staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

I understand that the team working at the store is not responsible for this mixup but the owner or manager should be. This is a letter I wrote to Brody, the owner:
Hi Brody,
I appreciate that you guys have tried your best to get the bike ready as soon as possible and that you are working with the manufacturer and shipping delays due to Covid-19. I'm very familiar with this process as I work in health care and we have our own set of issues for logistics.
I would like to say that I was very disappointed when I went to pick up the bike today as it was not built as ordered. The key part on the entire bike was missing. The reason why I purchased a Ripmo AF was to run a coil shock in that format and to see that the bike was built with the standard air Topaz was just upsetting. On top of that, there is no way to get a Jade coil nor anything from Fox comparable from your store.
I was hesitating to even take the bike because I now have to sell on the used market the Topaz and search for a Jade X or Fox.
The original bike that was 'ordered in January and arriving next week' - this is what I was told very clearly at the beginning of May 2 months ago, I hope whoever got it is very happy. I am not.
Just some feedback to think about. I wasn't offered anything to compensate for waiting for 2 months and then didn't even get the complete bike I had ordered.

A new store; with the same commitment to sales and service; a super clean store, and very helpful staff. I although previously, under the name Different Bikes, the same technical staff have serviced my bikes year round and frequently have helped me out on the fly with everything from flat tires to minor adjustments.
I recomend Dan and the rest of the staff highly.
